Rainbow Quilt Wall Hanging
Meet the Creator: Laure Patera
This art piece is 8 in. x 10.5 in., and made out of clay, watercolor, and acrylic paint. I started making it as a cover for a sketchbook, but when the clay was too heavy, I realized it would be so much nicer as a wall hanging instead. It was inspired by traditional colorful quilts, but I chose to experiment with texture and create a unique piece by combining a very soft inspiration with a hard medium. This piece is not framed, but it can be hung on a wall by placing nails on either side, or used as another type of decor such as leaning on a coffee table.
