Looking Up Painting

$35.00

Meet the Creator: Laure Patera

This painting was inspired by the "In the Court of the Crimson King" album cover, and by my own experiences with nightmares and a fear of the dark. By making most of the space of the painting pure black, I hoped to focus the subject not on the person looking up, but on the concept of something hiding in the shadows that we, as a viewer, cannot see, but the person in the painting can. This piece is acrylic on watercolor paper measuring 16.5 in. x 12.25 in., including the frame.
