Meet the Creator: Laure Patera
This painting was made using watercolor, acrylic paint, and markers on a 14 in. x 11 in. unframed canvas, and was inspired by my love for cosmic horror and representing fear through more subliminal means rather than relying on cliches and outright violent imagery. In this painting, I used symbols, bright colors and a crude drawing style to portray a sense of overwhelm and animalistic fear. The title of the painting comes from the man in the bottom right and what his sense of the world may look like, as if he is possessed.
